Join us at the Townsend Visitor Center as a Volunteer!

We depend on volunteers for the success of our Festivals and other events.  There are a variety of ways you can share your time, talents, and skills.

Volunteers needed for upcoming events in 2010:

Winter Heritage Festival in the Smokies, February 4-6, 2011:  Program planning, hosts, reception, many other activities.

Herb and Wildflower Day, Saturday, April 2,2011:  Help with set up, assist with nature walks and garden tours, distribute flyers.

Townsend Spring Festival, May 6 and 7, 2011: Blount County Chamber Coke Booth staffing, "Runners", set up and clean up, assist with Young Pickers Talent Contest.

Smoky Mountain Pottery Festival, June 3 and 4, 2011:  Help with education programs in the Children's Tent, hosts, publicity, Chamber Coke Booth staffing.

Townsend Fall Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day, September 23 and 24, 2011: Blount County Chamber Coke and hot dog booth staffing, "Runners", set up and clean up, demonstrating crafts and skills.
